In 2009 Qadhafi announced the possible nationalization of oil, which supplies much of the needs of the European Union. Conclusive proof that "save the civilians Libyans" care little about the likes of Rodriguez Zapatero and Sarkozy, and what drives their desire for blood are much less altruistic reasons.
