CREATORS: Aerosmith Aerosmith
is considered by the vast majority of
critics as one of the most important bands, most influential, biggest and best all time. His style is clearly Hard Rock, which also has large doses of Rock And Roll and Blues-Rock (and some touches of Heavy Metal and Metal ).
The heyday of the band is in the 70's and the era stretching from the late 80's to early 90's. But ... Beware! Out of these stages also made many good songs, just not got to be at the Olimpo in one day were and few groups have been closer.
Before starting the album review, as we have explained above, say that the whole mountain is oregano and that not everything they touched was the Rock began in mid-trade 90 'with which collapsed Hits lists around the world, and this album is proof of that.
Once there, start with the analysis of this MASTERPIECE that would define the "style Aerosmith."
DISCO: Toys in the Attic (1975).
"Toys in the Attic" was the third album by the band. It is one of the most influential albums of Rock and one of the cornerstones of this, which led to the confirmation of Aerosmith as one of the best and biggest Rock bands history.
The album would fit in the first stage of the band, belonging to 70 'and creators of this "Master Piece" are: Steven Tyler (vocals, harmonica, piano ...), Pe rry Joe (lead guitar ) Brad Whitford (guitar), Tom Hamilton (bass) and Joey Kramer (drums). Except for a small period of time that the guitarists were and tried their luck with the creation of other bands, such training has remained the same until today. SONGS

The album starts with great strength with an explosive riff that combines the Hard-Rock the Rock & Roll and is warning us of what we will encounter later. The song be responsible for opening the disc is called Toys in the Attic (like the disk) and is a fast and energetic song over the years become one of his many hymns and appear in almost every "set-list" live. The perfect song to start a disk.
After it would appear Uncle Salty, the structure relaxed and hypnotic guitar makes it lowered slightly the euphoria of the previous. This is a song outside the context of the album, whose structure is very different from the rest of the songs, but it fits perfectly in the development of it, giving it more color and some fine harmonies. Surely a song indispensable.
Then come Adam's Apple , a song just great to have a number of elements (but not all) of the style "aerosmithiano" such as the touch rock and roll mixed with hardrockero, the sarcastic lyrics of Steven and cool and Joe Perry solo senses (not overloaded, but of great quality that does not require any kind of artifice and virtuosity and Joe have made a guitar hero and icon for generations of guitarists).
taratarĂ¡ta Hum .. Who does not recognize this devilishly catchy riff ? Exactly, you're right, it is Walk this Way, that song just wonderful and perfect, with one of the best riffs in the history of Rock . His playing is really really funky and rockin ', with a two-guitar harmonies that sound really great with solos that fit perfectly. Since beginning to end, your body does not stop moving, because you feel completely stuck, you can not think of thing and your head will not stop repeating it's ... Walk this Way! Undoubtedly became one of his greatest hymns.
Big Ten Inch Record is a classic version of the same name. This is a song Blues-Rock of the 50's, a style that has influenced them, with which they have grown and which have always felt very comfortable. Very good version.
Now comes the song that has one of the most famous bass riffs of all time, his name Sweet Emotion. The song starts with the RIFF riff-low, (a riff composed by bassist Tom Hamilton), while background are happening various effects on the guitar, so we can create that environment in which we are introduced. Our head starts moving to the beat, and suddenly, a succession of riffs that alternate between Hard-Rock Metal and begin to intertwine. When it seems that we've finished listening to one of the best songs of Rock of the story ..... Joey Kramer suddenly tell us your battery remaining big surprises, and after that roll again started to move his head, and one furious start to lead the way among the power chords. This became the perfect song to end the shows since then. Countless number of times has been covered by other groups.
No More No More: One of the best songs of the album without doubt. Everything about her is great, from the intro, vocal melody, the riffs rock and rollers, the "buenrollismo" existing in it, and of course the wonderful guitar solo by Joe. It is simply too good, does not need anything because everything is.
"Toys" was an album always ahead of his time, a record that even today would sound cool (remember that is 75 '), and a sample of this is the next song: Round and Round . The song is pure Metal in some cases and in others it is Heavy Metal and has a riff "megacontundente" (remember that the metal did not exist) that sounded harsher than anything done in that time including Black Sabbath . This time the single is in charge of another guitarist, Mr. Brad Whitford, who always had a darker side to Joe, as Brad put on the table near approaches Heavy Metal and Metal , while Joe did the same with the HardRock and Bluesrock.
And finally, the beautiful ballad You See Me Crying, for me of the best ballads that has made this group in his long career. Start with a melancholy piano by S. Tyler and a structure that progressively hardens as guitar playing goes, background while listening to the melodies of the violins. With a single very successful both Brad Joe as they carry the song of a great emotion. Clearly the best ending I could have a disk.
Here is a masterpiece, a jewel of the Rock, an album that I would not rate because every time I hear it I discover new things, to me it seems like more and more important. I hope you listen carefully and you will do the same to me.
